The couple have been going steady for quite several months, I think it's almost a year that they have been together but they surprise the showbiz industry when the news came out yesterday, March 27, 2011 that is over, the couple broke up. Popoy Caritativo, Dennis's manager, confirmed the news when PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) rang him at 10:04 Thursday night, March 24. He said, "Sa mga mag-boyfriend at mag-girlfriend, maaari namang mangyari talaga na maghiwalay, di ba?"
But he refused to elaborate, saying, "Hindi magsasalita yun si Dennis. Kahit nuon naman, di ba? Napaka-ungentleman naman kasi sa guy na magkwento, di ba?" Popoy is referring to Dennis's past controversial romances with beauty queen Carlene Aguilar (with whom he has a son) and sexy star Cristine Reyes.
Meantime, PEP contributor Roldan Castro has sent several messages to Jennlyn's manager, Becky Aguila, asking for confirmation about the parting of ways of the two stars who captured the public's imagination a year back when they, both single parents with sons with past partners, fell in love with each other. The messages were sent last night and this morning.
The information that the two have already been separated for weeks now comes from someone who is a friend to both stars and who believes there is no reason for the public not to know that the two are now free to be with other partners. The source adds, however, that whether one, or both, of the stars will want to get back together is up in the air.
