He is a graduating Political Science student at a university in New York City and plans to settle back in the Philippines to pursue business and maybe politics after graduation. Miguel wanted to attend the premiere night of Sarah’s latest movie “Catch Me I’m In Love” but he had to fly back to NY.

After the cornea transplant to blind Marian devotee Fatima Soriano did not push through due to her ineligibility for the procedure, two other people were chosen to receive AJ's corneas. Instead of helping just one beneficiary, AJ's cornea will change the lives of 28-year-old Lawrence Villanueva and an unnamed 8 year old boy, an ABS-CBN report said.

Lawrence has been experiencing eye problems for three years now."God works in different ways talaga," a grateful Lawrence said in an ABS-CBN interview.


Ma. Dominga B. Padilla, Chairperson and President of the Santa Lucia International Eye Bank, a medical facility owned by the Eye Bank Foundation of the Philippines, expressed her admiration for the family of AJ.

AJ Perez at a very young age passed away in a highway accident (car accident), hence the Philippine Show-business was shocked with the news that AJ Perez, a young star of ABS-CBN died in a car accident. AJ was still brought to the hospital but then his heart gave up.

AJ Perez died at 18. AJ is still very young but it's the will of God. We all have to accept.

AJ family is in shock and is deeply saddened by AJ's sudden death. And according to AJ's Family that the fans of AJ can visit his remains at  La Salle Green Hills chapel in San Juan from 9 p.m to 12 midnight.
